| 兩岸女網 衝破WTA高牆

當台灣的謝淑薇和大陸的彭帥拿下WTA年終賽女雙冠軍，李娜闖進女單決賽，代表今年亞洲網球締造新里程碑，也讓世界逐漸重視亞洲網壇的地位與市場價值。
過去WTA年終賽對亞洲選手是一座難以跨越的高牆，日本的杉山愛雖然曾兩度闖進女雙冠軍戰，但最後卻都獲亞軍。台灣黃金女雙詹詠然和莊佳容曾在二○○七年取得年終賽資格，大陸晏紫和鄭潔也曾在二○○六年打進年終賽，但卻都在首輪出局。
WTA主席阿拉絲特表示李娜的出現，是讓WTA態度改變的關鍵。她說：「李娜改變了WTA對於亞洲的態度，如果大小威廉絲是本世紀第一個十年最具影響力的女網球員，李娜毫無疑問會是這個十年改變世界網壇最多的球員。」
