三星顯示器（Samsung Display）面對群創光電來勢洶洶的競爭，目前正面臨重新調整經營策略的壓力，俾以專注於量產48吋面板。

根據英文「韓國時報」（Korea Times）報導，三星計劃在中國大陸蘇州廠房量產48吋面板，目標成為後40吋年代的新面板標準。

南韓業界高層週一指出：「三星設法藉由量產48吋面板，力抗47吋面板生產商的挑戰，其中包括樂金顯示器（LG Display ）等。但這項策略碰到些許困難。」

藉量產48吋面板，三星希望取代現有的46吋面板，並迫使對手們跟進生產48吋面板。

根據市場研究機構DisplaySearch指出，基於這些理由，三星蘇州廠將專攻48吋面板。

據報，在三星48吋面板上市前，群創就大砍50吋面板價格。群創過去在40吋以下面板規模標準戰中不敵三星落敗。

DisplaySearch的數據顯示，截至今年9月底止，50吋面板價格，已由4月的277美元跌至238美元。

由於群創在50吋面板的定價相當積極，第2季大陸50吋液晶電視的市占，從上一季的3.4%攀抵至4.9%。相形之下，今年上半年，48吋液晶電視在大陸的市占，由上年同期的1%腰斬至0.5%。

【余思維／台北報導】台北市內湖區大湖路1處位於山區的民宅，今天上午9時許，1名經營農場的民眾要前往魚塭餵魚時，發現一旁樹上有人上吊嚇的趕緊報警。警方到場發現上吊的死者是1名年約70多歲的男子，用鐵絲在樹上上吊自殺，死者身上並無證件，警方目前正封鎖現場採證釐清死者身分。

【劉昌松／台北報導】檢察官詹昭書因在新竹地檢署任內，利用偵辦溫泉業者涉侵占公有河床地案、以及污泥廠惡臭案的機會，向業者索討73萬多元的家具、購車費用，原本一審判詹無罪，但高院今天改依利用檢察職務機會詐取財物罪，重判徒刑10年，褫奪公權6年，不法所得全數追繳沒收，本案還可上訴。詹在去年已遭停職。

今天詹昭書和律師都沒有出庭聽判，不過詹上次開辯論庭時，慷慨激昂地強調，全案中間人張仁宗是司法黃牛，「我已經盡量去證明他是司法黃牛，原審也這樣認定，希望司法秉持公正審理」。

不過高院審理後認為，詹昭書在2008年認識同為重機愛好者的溫泉業者張仁宗後，不但向張借騎重機遲不歸還，還在張的介紹下，認識當時正遭民眾圍廠困擾的污泥業者何銘軒，詹一方面暗示可幫忙處理圍廠案，一方面又抱怨剛搬家沒錢用，使何、張前後準備了73萬多元幫詹添購家具、買車，高院認定詹觸犯利用職務詐財罪。
